What matters more to you when it comes to fiction: Characters or plot?

I prefer strong characters over plot. Well written, multi-dimensional characters can create and carry a plot.

What makes for a better story: Comedy or drama?

Good comedy makes for a better story in my opinion. Comedy is hard to write and not every author can carry it off.

Which is harder to write: The beginning of the story or the ending?

Personally, I write better endings than beginnings. Beginnings are harder for me. Trying to get that first hook, line and sinker is difficult. Once I get through that, the rest generally falls into place.
