A is for Aine – #atozchallenge

It’s time for the April A to Z Blogging Challenge 2016. In case you didn’t read the A to Z Challenge Theme Reveal on Monday, March 21st, I’m going to be revealing books, characters, and worlds throughout the month.

A is for Aine

Aine is the main character in my short story, ‘Queen of the Fairies’. She is young, ‘Queen of the Fairies’ and is supposed to grow into a ‘Mother Goddess’. She enjoys being ‘Queen of the Fairies’ because she gets to run away to her Aunt Evelyn’s, in Limerick City, every summer and play at being human. She knows that once she turns to her duties as a ‘Mother Goddess’, she can never play at being human again.

Danu, the current ‘Mother Goddess’ is growing wary. She is ready for Aine to grow up and accept her duties as ‘Mother Goddess’, but like most young girls, Aine is in love with love. She falls in and out of love as often as she changes her clothes.

Will Aine ever settle down? Will Danu be forced to play her hand?

You can read Aine’s story in ‘The Dragon Tempest’; a collection of short stories in a variety of fantasy genres, including dark, light, adventure, and epic. Read a sneak peek and find purchasing links at:
