D is for Danu

Danu, an Irish Goddess, is the Celtic Mother of the Faeries. Her tribe is the Tuatha De’ Danann, also known as the People of the Goddess Danu. She is seen as the Mother Goddess of abundance, fertility, and wealth.

Danu appears in my short story, ‘Queen of the Fairies’, as the Mother Goddess waiting for her successor, Aine, to grow up and take over her duties.
