Summer – The Daily Post
Summer Solstice – The longest day of the year for the northern hemisphere.
This Summer Solstice coincides with a full moon, termed the ‘Strawberry Moon’ by the Algonquin tribes of North America who believe June’s full moon signals the beginning of the strawberry picking season.
Celebrate the day by grilling out, having a picnic, or singing and dancing. If you are lucky enough to be in or near Wiltshire visit the spectacular site of Stonehenge.
Either way you celebrate, I wish you a Happy Summer Solstice!
