Wind – The Daily Post

Wind – The Daily Post

https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/wind/

Who has seen the wind?

Neither you nor I,

But when the trees bow down their heads,

The wind is passing by.

I knew this verse as a nursery rhyme that I read to my daughters when they were growing up. I have often recited it to my grandchildren as one of my favorites. Today, I looked it up and found the full verse penned by Christina Rossetti and wish to share it with you.

Who Has Seen the Wind?

Christina Rossetti, 18301894

 Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you.
But when the leaves hang trembling,
The wind is passing through.
Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I.
But when the trees bow down their heads,
The wind is passing by.
