Murder

Murder

A Very Short Story by: D.B. Mauldin

Sandra felt a stab of pain as the knife penetrated her skin. Her whole body began to shake violently.
“Are you scared,” the voice hissed mockingly.
Unable to speak, Sandra tried to nod her head, but his hold on her hair was too strong. Suddenly, the knife was ripped out. Sandra was in shock, but she could feel the hot blood run down her shoulder.
Her assailant stayed behind her, out of sight. He jerked her head to the left. Sandra felt the knife pierce the right side of her neck. This time there was a spray of blood. She knew she was dead, but who was her murderer? Thomas?
